Our valuesESSA believes that students have a lot to say. We want to empower young people to speak out and make decisions for themselves: Our values are:
Equal opportunitiesESSA recognises that some young people find it easier to speak out and to participate in activities than others. We aim to ensure that ALL students get a chance to participate in ESSA's activities, no matter what their colour, cultural perspective, disability, ethnic or national origin, or socio-economic status may be or whether they're female or male and whatever their s*xual preference. In our work we aim to challenge the barriers faced by students that prevent them from getting their voices heard and we're working to make sure that the voices, views, concerns and experiences of young people from all sections of society are represented on ESSA's National Council, as well as within education debates at local, national and international levels. ESSA knows that the education system and ESSA's own activities will change for the better if ALL young people are able to have a voice.
