More and more young people are becoming involved in the decision-making that happens at school or college. This may be as part of a student council, associate governor or member of a student interview panel. To do this effectively, it's important that students are able to communicate well and can ask the right questions to make informed decisions.
Ofsted now takes into consideration the degree to which young people feel that their school or college acts on their views. The ‘Asking the Right Questions' toolkit and training programme helps students like you to gain the skills and confidence you need to ask the right questions.
Students will gain:
- Increased communication, reasoning, organisational and negotiating skills
- More confidence in talking to other students and adults
- Enthusiasm about being able to positively influence school policy.
